Grand Marnier vs. Cointreau

They are both from France, both flavored with orange, and both liqueurs. So what’s the difference? Are they interchangeable? Can you drink them straight?

We did the research. We read the history, learned about how they are made and what with, but most important of all we tried them out and experimented with using them in a variety of classic cocktails that call for orange liqueur.
